This orchestra challenges students with advanced repertoire and a greater responsibility for shaping the ensemble’s sound. Students focus on:

• Refined intonation and tone quality

• Advanced shifting and position work

• Varied bow strokes and articulation

• Expressive phrasing and musical interpretation

• Careful listening, balance, and blend

• Independent preparation and ensemble leadership

 

Chamber Orchestra gives students opportunities to perform demanding music and develop as collaborative musicians.
