Kimberley Boehm

​

Kimberley Boehm joined the staff at Normal West High School in 2021 as the Orchestra Director. 

​

Miss Boehm received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with an emphasis in strings. While at University of Illinois, Miss Boehm studied viola with Mr. Rudolf Haken, and studied conducting with both Dr. Louis Bergonzi and Dr. Elizabeth Peterson. Miss Boehm is the recipient of the Division Achievement Award in Music Education, Outstanding Graduating Senior in Music Education, and the Eve Hardwood Music Education Award from the University of Illinois.

Miss Boehm received her Master of Music Education degree from Illinois State University. At Illinois State University, Miss Boehm studied viola with Dr. Kate Lewis. Her research focused on diverse high school orchestra literature.

Miss Boehm is the recipient of the 2021-2022 Outstanding Emerging Educator Award from the Illinois Chapter of the American String Teacher Association.
