Normal West High School has three curricular orchestras that meet daily:  Concert Orchestra, Sinfonia Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra.  These ensembles have an active performance schedule including the annual Halloween Hauntcert, the Unit 5 Music Parents Musical Extravaganza (formerly with spaghetti), winter concerts, and spring concerts.  Students also actively participate in madrigal strings, musical pit orchestra, the ILMEA District and All-State Auditions and Festivals, and IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest.  All three groups perform a diverse repertoire of musical selections and participate in a variety of concerts and festivals.
