Normal West High School is home to three outstanding curricular orchestras that rehearse daily: Concert Orchestra, Sinfonia Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra. Each ensemble maintains a vibrant performance schedule throughout the year, including:

• The annual Halloween Hauntcert

• The Unit 5 Music Parents Musical Extravaganza

• Winter concerts

• Spring concerts

 

Students also have opportunities to participate in madrigal strings, musical pit orchestra, ILMEA District and All-State Auditions and Festivals, and the IHSA Solo & Ensemble Contest. All three orchestras perform a wide range of musical literature and actively participate in concerts, festivals, and community events.
